I'm Back!

Yes, I am back! Many things have happened since the last time I've written. National Signing Day has come and gone, Valentine’s Day, the NFL Combine, the NBA All-Star Game, both the Grammy's and the Oscar's, and we have a new running backs coach, Dennis Springer.

I will get to all of these things in due time. I'm about to begin writing much more often. Most of my midterms are out of the way and I have many things on my mind that I'd like to talk about.

Coach Springer is in and has already made his presence known during winter workouts. He's very enthusiastic and upbeat. He's been all over us early in the morning while we sweat it out over inside Mellencamp Pavilion. He's very encouraging and demands nothing less than our best effort. He's a Fort Wayne, Ind., native, which I like. Additionally, he and I were coached by the same person while in high school. In the late '80's, Coach Springer attended Northrop High School, where his head coach was Dean Doerffler. I of course attended Concordia Lutheran High School from 2000-2004, where my head coach was Mr. Doerffler. What a coincidence! Knowing this actually gives me somewhat of an idea as to what he'll be like as a coach once we hit the field. Only time will tell if my assumptions are correct. Needless to say, I hope to make a great impression on him through my work ethic.

SOMETHING NEW
I will be starting something on my blogwhere I will welcome some open rants and raves from my teammates, giving them a chance to say what's on their minds. I figure it's a great way for everyone to see what's on their minds and further get to know the players’ personalities and interests. After all, we're more than just football players, and we're actually regular people like you.

I will also be writing random thoughts of my own as things pop into my head because, to be honest, sometimes I'd rather talk about something other than football.

AISLE III INTERVIEWS COMING SOON!
Today was moving day in our locker room, which means we will have different locker spaces for the next year. I'm really going to miss my locker mates. Me, along with my teammates who had lockers near me called ourselves Aisle III. What's Aisle III you ask? Well it's the middle locker room aisle at The Rock. As I mentioned, I happened to be one of the players in this aisle and in my opinion, I had some of the most interesting characters surrounding me. I've decided to sit down with each member of Aisle III and get some interesting facts and insight on their personalities, aspirations, motivations, funny facts, etc. I'm trying to get the first interviews up by next Monday. Stay posted.

Is there any way that you will be interviewing Jammie the Juggernaut Kirlew? He is my favorite player, besides you of course, and I would love to hear his story!!
